OUR MISSIon
Rescuing Rescues is not a traditional dog rescue. Instead, we rescue and support organizations that rescue dogs. With shelters across the United States overflowing and rescue organizations running out of funds or foster homes, innocent animals are being euthanized every day because there is no room at the inn. There is an urgent need for a solution. No civilized society should treat animals this way.
Rescuing Rescues LLC was created out of love and compassion for animals and from the clear need that many shelters and rescue groups have for support with housing, vetting, spay and neuter, behavior modification and especially adoption placement. We receive calls daily from rescue groups and shelters who are working against deadlines to save dogs from being euthanized. These animals cannot be pulled from shelters because there is nowhere for them to go, even temporarily while they wait for transport to other states.
The intention of Rescuing Rescues is not to be a rescue, but instead to provide support to rescues and shelters. We give organizations a sanctuary for adoptable animals scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space, funding or resources. We provide safe housing, vetting, spay and neuter, grooming and socialization, and our primary focus is the adoption and placement of pets in forever homes across the country.
Unlike other organizations, we are available to all Georgia counties, licensed rescues and shelters. Rescuing Rescues works with low cost spay and neuter clinics, veterinarians, transporters and several professional dog trainers. We have built a network of rescue partners across the country and we use media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, TV and online platforms such as Adopt A Pet, Rescue Me and Pet Finders. Most weekends we participate in adoption events, coordinating meet and greets with prospective families and arranging transportation when needed to help dogs find better lives.
We are also committed to supporting people by providing training and employment opportunities to animal lovers through partnerships with the Bobby Dodd Institute for disabled youth, Dismas Charities, Cobb Family Courts and other community service programs. Rescuing Rescues is located inside Dogma Dog Care at 4790 Wright Drive SE in Smyrna Georgia, just one mile outside 285 and South Cobb Drive. We are Rescuing Rescues because every dog deserves room at the inn.
